On April 9, 2024, Baiterek Holding and the Spanish company Roca Group engaged in discussions to explore ways to strengthen Roca Group's presence in the Kazakhstan market.
Baiterek Holding aims to advance the nation industrially and innovatively, promote the export of local products, support the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises, foster development in the agro-industrial sector, and expand housing construction. Consequently, the industrial sector's development in Kazakhstan ranks among the highest priorities for both the nation as a whole and specifically for Baiterek Holding.
Zhandos Shaikhy, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Baiterek Holding, emphasized, "In alignment with our current objectives, Baiterek Holding focuses on attracting external investment. Accordingly, priority is given to collaboration with leading foreign financial and industrial entities, including those from Spain."
Currently, Roca Group is contemplating the prospect of establishing local production in Kazakhstan. This initiative aims to fortify Roca Group's position within the Kazakhstani market and provide consumers with access to the company's comprehensive product range.
It's worth noting that Roca Group commenced operations in 1917, initially manufacturing cast iron radiators for household heating. Today, Roca's expansive sales network spans more than 170 countries, with products originating from 79 production facilities and a global workforce exceeding 21,000 employees. The company produces bathroom ceramics, shower trays, faucets, accessories, bathroom furniture, and ceramic tiles. Presently, Roca Group maintains a representative office in Almaty.
It's pertinent to recall that since 2018, Baiterek Holding has served as co-chair on the Kazakh side of the Kazakhstan-Spain Business Council, actively fostering cooperation between the two nations across trade and economic spheres, investment attraction, and joint project implementation.
