The program “Leaders of Competitiveness - National Champions 2.0” has been started

“Baiterek” Holding announces about the stat up of the program “Leaders of Competitiveness - National Champions 2.0”. The program is implemented under the instructions of the Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev according to the 62nd step of the Plan of the Nation “100 specific steps”.

The purpose of the program, developed in the light of international best practices is assistance in creating of competitive, export-oriented and technological manufacturing industries.

Assistance is provided by a set of financial and non-financial support measures to the subsidiaries of the Holding: from developing a feasibility study by Kazakhstan Project Preparation Fund to certain conditions of concessional financing and subsidizing of the interest rates from the Development Bank of Kazakhstan and “DAMU” Entrepreneurship Development Fund, as well as use of equity financing instruments from Kazyna Capital Management and application of support measures from KazakhExport.

The key features of the program are: focus on financing of investment projects aimed at modernization of production process or manufacturing of technological products; provision of support measures both for projects at the idea stage, and with the availability of a full package of design documentation; comprehensive individual support by assigning a personal manager to the company who will accompany the participants throughout the program.

In order to participate in the program, the enterprises must meet a number of criteria, including: work in the manufacturing industry, have a staff of more than 100 people and annual revenues of more than 300,000 MCI, an export-oriented field of activity, Kazakhstan’s equity participation - 51% or more, operates on the market not less than three years.

The period of the program is five years, three years of which is implementation, two years is monitoring. The term for applications submission is the end of December 2018.
