“Baiterek” Holding took part in the II Regional Investment Forum “Kostanay Invest 2018” on October 12, 2018. Urgent issues on the development of the investment potential of the region were discussed by the representatives of government agencies, national companies, diplomatic corps, large business and expert organizations.
During the plenary session, the Chairman of the Management Board of “Development Bank of Kazakhstan” JSC (a subsidiary of “NMH “Baiterek” JSC) Bolat Zhamishev presented the institutional support tools for the development of the non-oil and gas economy of Kazakhstan.
An important event of the forum was the signing of a number of memorandums on cooperation and collaboration, including with “Kazyna Capital Management” JSC (a subsidiary of “NMH “Baiterek” JSC) by Akim of Kostanay region Archimed Mukhambetov. The document is aimed at implementation of projects in machine engineering, mining and metals sector, agricultural processing, production of constructional materials and food.
- The memorandum will become an important mechanism for attraction of more investments in potential and existing projects of the region, and also the basis for the development of close mutually beneficial relations between the parties, - noted Ardak Kasymbek, Chairman of the Management Board of “Kazyna Capital Management” JSC.
As a part of the master class for entrepreneurs “New opportunities for small and medium businesses,” Azamat Eralin, Director of Project Finance and PPP Department of “Baiterek” Holding, told about the launch of the new phase of the program “Leaders of competitiveness - National Champions 2.0”. The project is implemented according to the 62nd step of the Plan of the Nation “100 specific steps”.
- The purpose of the program, developed in the light of the international best practices, is to assist in creation of competitive, export-oriented and technological manufacturing industries. Assistance is provided through financial and non-financial support measures from Kazakhstan companies, - noted Azamat Eralin.
According to the speaker, the key features of the program are: focus on financing of investment projects aimed at modernization of production process or manufacturing of technological products; provision of support measures both for projects at the idea stage, and with the availability of a full package of design documentation; comprehensive individual support by assigning a personal manager to the company who will accompany the participants throughout the program. During the implementation of the program, a number of key performance indicators will be monitored at various stages of the production cycle of investment projects. The participant who has received support and achieved key performance indicators assigned to him will be awarded the title “National Champion”.
Also during the panel sessions, reports were made by the representatives of the companies that are the part of “NMH “Baiterek” JSC and its subsidiaries: “DAMU” Entrepreneurship Development Fund” JSC, “ESC “KazakhExport” JSC, “Kazakhstan Project Preparation Fund” LLP, “BRK-Leasing” JSC, “Baiterek Venture Fund” JSC.
