A Report on the Results of Baiterek Holding’s Activities Has Been Debriefed

On November 5, 2019, a debriefing for the results of “Baiterek” NMH” JSC’s activities has been held in Nur-Sultan under the chairmanship of the Minister of Industry and Infrastructural Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov. The session was attended by the heads of the MIID of the RoK, the Holding and its subsidiaries.

As the Chairman of the Management Board of “Baiterek” NMH” JSC Aidar Arifkhanov noted in his speech, the Holding is the key institution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan that meets the advanced standards of corporate governance. It ensures implementation of challenges for sustainable development of Kazakhstan’s economy by diversifying it, supporting innovation, developing exports, and increasing labor productivity. The Holding is an operator for the main state programs of Nurly Zhol, Nurly Zher, SPIID, Business Roadmap 2020, Yenbek.

During the meeting, the results of the Holding’s work in a series of specialized areas have been announced. In particular, 93 large-scale business projects (including 48 projects that are export-oriented) and 2 510 SME projects were supported within Nurly Zhol infrastructural development program, 15 771 car loans were issued, and 17 exporters were assisted.

Due to the implementation of Nurly Zher state housing construction program, more than 3.1 million square meters of accommodation, which is 52 358 apartments, have been commissioned through the tools of Kazakhstan Mortgage Company and Baiterek Development JSC. 10 400 soft housing loans worth 86.9 billion tenge were issued to the public, guarantees worth 120 billion tenge were provided for 33 shared construction projects.

22 large-scale business projects and 356 innovative projects were supported under the program of industrial innovative development. 14 360 SME projects were subsidized, 5 969 projects were guaranteed, 16 projects were supported through leasing financing, assistance through business incubators support mechanisms was provided for 92 initiatives within the Business Roadmap 2020.

In the course of the meeting, reports were presented by the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of “Baiterek” NMH” JSC Anuar Omarkhojayev and the Managing Director, member of the Holding’s Management Board, Yersain Khamitov. Relevant issues of the Holding’s and its subsidiaries’ development and plans for the upcoming period have been also discussed.

Upon closing of the session, Beibut Atamkulov noted the need for drawing special attention to the industrial sector development, since this sector has a great influence on the level of the social system’s economic development, as well as on the material basis of industrialization for the entire economic space.
