Baiterek Holding, as a key financial institution of the Government, supports the country's initiatives for the transition to a green economy. We provide tools to support Kazakhstani business and cooperate with international partners in areas such as the development of renewable energy, clean technologies and infrastructure.
In the portfolio of projects of the Baiterek holding there are a number of indicative "green" projects that are aimed at reducing harmful emissions into the atmosphere. For example, a project for the construction of a solar power plant "Baikonyr" with a capacity of 50 MW in the Kyzylorda region. The implementation of this project is especially important in our country, since the energy sector of Kazakhstan is highly dependent on coal.
Also, the Holding financed the construction project of the first start-up complex of wind power plants in the Akmola region. The wind farm project implemented by CATEK Green Energy is strategically important for the development of renewable energy in the country. The new wind farm near Nur-Sultan, along with the existing station in Yereymentau, demonstrates the economic, technological viability and prospects of new energy, and also allows ensuring the energy security of Kazakhstan in the future.
