International Homeless Animals Day falls on every third Saturday in August, which will be August 20 this year. The event was started in 1992 by the International Society for Animal Rights.
On this day, people in different countries visit shelters for stray animals to help them or adopt a pet.
Baiterek Holding and its subsidiaries decided to collect food and other supplies for homeless animals, according to an annual tradition.

On August 23, the Holding's employees visited the Nika pet shelter in Nur-Sultan and handed over food, veterinary medicines and supplies.
– I would like to thank our employees who provided their assistance. We are also grateful to the volunteers who work in the shelter and take care of homeless animals, – said Dina Akrachkova, Chief of Staff.
