Kazakhstan Housing Company started subsidizing loans to real estate developers

Starting July 1, 2021, real estate developers planning to take subsidized loans for housing construction will need to apply to Kazakhstan Housing Company JSC, Baiterek Holding’s subsidiary.

Subsidizing loans issued by second-tier banks to private businesses for housing construction is carried out under the “Nurly Zher” State Program of Housing and Communal Development for 2020-2025.

Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund JSC used to subsidize loans to real estate developers, until this function was taken over by Kazakhstan Housing Company. It was done by the Order of the Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 28, 2020 on amendments and additions to the Order of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 35 “On the rules for subsidizing loans issued by second-tier banks to private entrepreneurs for housing construction.”

Subsidizing loans is a public service and applications are accepted online on egov.kz or digital.baiterek.gov.kz.
