Baiterek Holding establishes cooperation with French investors

Today, Kanysh Izbastin, First Deputy Chairman of Baiterek Holding’s Management Board, met with French businessmen who arrived in Kazakhstan as part of the delegation of Franck Riester, Minister-Delegate for Foreign Trade and Economic Attractiveness under the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France.

In his welcoming speech, Kanysh Izbastin noted that cooperation with European countries, and in particular France, is a priority for the Holding. He also told his French colleagues about the activities of Baiterek Holding and its subsidiaries. Representatives of the Holding's subsidiaries also negotiated with the guests and answered their questions.

– Baiterek Holding is the main financial institution responsible for the country's development; it is supported by the Government of Kazakhstan and has credit ratings at the level of the sovereign rating of Kazakhstan. The Holding is ready to act as a reliable partner, providing support at every stage, from the planning of projects to financing and providing export support, – said Kanysh Izbastin.

In turn, Yves-Louis Darricarrere, co-chairman of the Kazakh-French Business Council and senior adviser to Lazard, believes that French business is showing great interest in cooperation.

– Today we asked some questions about the activities of Baiterek Holding. Our delegation includes various companies interested in developing cooperation and implementing projects in Kazakhstan. I am very glad to meet with the management of the Holding. I believe that it will stimulate investment cooperation, – stated Yves-Louis Darricarrere.

The meeting was organized in cooperation with MEDEF International, the driving force of French business, the organization uniting 800 thousand enterprises of all sizes and industries. The event was attended by top managers of VICAT, IVECO, BPIfrance, Orano, Thales, and other companies.

In conclusion, the participants noted that this meeting will identify new investment opportunities, strengthen and expand contacts between the businesses of the two countries.
