The head of the Baiterek holding Aidar Arifkhanov held a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) Nikolai Podguzov , during which the parties discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the implementation of large infrastructure projects of an integration nature.
Aydar Arifkhanov told the guest in detail about the activities of the Baiterek holding and its subsidiaries, about the support tools they provide.
- Cooperation with the Baiterek holding is of great importance for the development of the activities of the Eurasian Development Bank in Kazakhstan. The activities of the Holding's companies extend beyond Kazakhstan and are carried out throughout the territory of the Eurasian Union. We are determined to deepen and expand these contacts ”, - said Nikolay Podguzov during the meeting.
It should be noted that within the framework of the interaction of the Holding (a project with the Development Bank of Kazakhstan) with the EDB, the first stage of the construction of the Saryarka gas pipeline worth 267.3 billion tenge was financed.
- The Saryarka gas pipeline is a landmark project for us, and it has already been built. Now there is a discussion of the next stage of construction, - said Aidar Arifkhanov.
In conclusion, the head of the EDB invited the management of the Baiterek holding in December this year to take part in the First Eurasian Congress, the central event of which will be the plenary session of the heads of government of the EAEU countries "Economic pragmatism and mutual benefit as the basis of Eurasian economic integration."
In addition, after the meeting, the head of the EDB informed the press service of the Baiterek holding plans to participate in the further implementation of the Saryarka gas pipeline construction project.
- At the moment we are getting acquainted with the second and third stages of construction. I am sure that we will participate. The form of participation in this project will be determined in the near future. All infrastructure projects in Kazakhstan are of primary importance for us , - said Nikolay Podguzov.
At the same time, he once again emphasized that further cooperation with the Baiterek holding will be aimed at implementing large-scale integration projects.
- Implementation of large-scale integration projects improves the quality of life in the EAEU, the well-being of citizens. These can be projects of cross-border cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan, joint projects for the development of wholesale distribution centers. I am sure that soon you will hear about new projects in which the companies of the Baiterek holding and the EDB are involved , - Nikolay Podguzov concluded.
